Call her by her real name and you are most likely a bill collector and her response will be “I’m sorry she is not in right now. May I take a message?” Call her Lala and you have probably known her for a long while, are good friends or family.
Lala knows many people and many people know her. You know of the abusive relationship she came out of for the sake of her three small children. She was not a believer in staying in a dysfunctional family unit for the kid’s sake.
Was she perfect? No. She was young and made mistakes in which she eventually learned from. She strived to do the right things and found happiness for herself and her children.
Were her children perfect? No! Well maybe the young boy. He never got in trouble, like the young girls. When she thought raising these three were just about done, she took in three more small ones to raise as her own. From that moment on she has been known as Mama Lala.
She has witnessed all six of them learn from their own painful mistakes and grow into adults with their own families. All of her sacrifices are truly appreciated by those who call her Mom.
My song for you.
